There's no better way to welcome back your coworkers from the holidays, vacation, or that long sales trip than with an office prank. There is no need for pranks to be relegated to April Fool's Day; any day of the year is good for a small joke. A prescription for safe office pranks if often perfect for some fun lighthearted fun and/or well deserved payback.

In this day and age, Technology and the Internet rule, and most people spend their time online browsing, emailing or shopping. Why not try and play a joke on your friends where they spend most of their time…their computers and offices.

Remember, any prank you can easily play on someone could just as easily be used against you as well.

You have always had suspicions about the shady dealings that go down in the office after you leave, bring them to life by transforming your co-workers area into a crime scene.  This prank isn't hilarious, but it definitely is fun.

  1. Get police crime scene tape and either chalk or colored tape
  2. On the floor of your victims office or cube (or just outside the door so everyone can see), draw the outline of a body with the chalk, or colored tape
  3. Cordon off the area with the police tape and wait for them to arrive
If you want to take it a step further, you can have a friend dressed in a policeman's uniform with a pad in his hand taking notes when your coworker walks in or simply print a fake business card for the local police department with a note asking your victim to call as soon as they get in.
